I have inhereted a Word project that contains a lot of graphics made using boxes, arrows, etc. made with the Word drawing tools. Whenever I insert new text or change the formatting on pages before these drawings, the boxes and text in the graphics shift around. I tried making text boxes and copying the graphics into them. I could not get it to work. The only thing I can think of to correct the problem is to re-create about 100 graphics using Adobe Illustrator or Photoshop.

Does anyone have a better solution?

You need to set the properties of the drawing objects to

In Front Of Text (in Text Wrapping)

and

uncheck the Move with Text checkbox (in Position)

boblarson, thats really very fine information. As I just want to say that I also having the same problem and after reading your this solution I have solved my problem, and now I am out of problem and doing my other work without tension.
