Can an application built with Access run on any of the mobile phones on the market today?

Even android phones don't run Access so the native client cannot be accessed via a mobile device. You can launch the Access UI via a Sharepoint site using a Sharepoint server. But I will be wary using a mobile device to communicate with Access since packets sent via phones could get lost due to network speed limitations.

Although services like SAS have successfully implemented some database solutions for mobile phones but how it works is packets sent aren't completely instant.
