kind of helps. It was following those instructions that made me think the MSBind.dll is missing as I cant find it.

that site has the DLL file for download. Not being brave hope a few others recommend the same site as safe before downloading the file.

Personally I am leery of any of those sites. Why not just reinstall your VB5 and see if that helps?

took your advice and reinstalled vb. In fact there was an option just to install the missing files so took that option. All seems ok much to my relief.
