I have vista SP2, but according to MS, that doesn't support 4.5: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/942288

can someone tell me if this is absolutely true? I'm trying to get the 4.5 update so I can use this machine as a Sharepoint development machine, but according to the setup instructions, installer 4.5 is a pre-requisite piece of software that I need.

Actually, the setup won't let me continue until I have all the pre-reqs.

Anyone have any advice for me? thanks.
