Does any know a good company to go with in order for customers to be able to electronically sign pdf documents?

For example, does anyone know anything about RPost?

Hey there LadyDi!

I'm An and I'm responsible for social media programs at DocuSign, so I'm familiar with electronic signatures. I recommend taking a look at DocuSign.com, which handles about 70% of all of the electronic signatures on the internet.

We can validate that the name on the form is actually the person who signed it - DocuSign is the only electronic signature service that provides high levels of security including RSA IDCheck, phone authentication, access codes and unique activation links.

You can vary the authentication based on a transaction and on a signer by signer basis. It's very flexible and powerful. I'm not aware of any other vendors that have that capability. DocuSign is consistently chosen by big financial institutions for the strength of its security and processes. Fidelity, BofA, John Hancock and many more choose DocuSign after rigorous information security reviews.

Our signatures are also flexible - they look like they are handwritten and signers can actually draw a signature (via an iPad or similar) if they wish.

Here's a framework that you can use to compare different e-signature vendors and the factors you might want to consider:

Please don't hesitate to reach out if you have any questions!

Thank you for the information. I have a few more questions for you.

Is this something that only the creator of the forms would need, or something that the people sending and signing the agreements would need?

Do our customers have to be signed up with you?

Is it compatible with Adobe Acrobat forms?

How much would it be to have this capability for approximatly 1,000 employees?

Is it a yearly fee, or a one time fee?

Do you pay per employee, or per company?

Are our contracts housed on your servers?

LadyDi, these are great questions - I'm going to PM you to get your contact information, since this requires a more in-depth conversation. How does that sound? Alternatively, you can email me at an dot bui at docusign dot com

(I should have given you my email to start!)

Hi LadyDi -

I'm not sure how to PM, so I pulled together some information:

Is this something that only the creator of the forms would need, or something that the people sending and signing the agreements would need?
DocuSign is a Web 2.0 technology, so everyone just needs a browser and connection to the internet. The creators of the forms or documents who need the signature will need a subscription to the service. The signers don't have to pay anything and don't have to download any software. In fact, anyone can sign on an iPhone, iPad, Android, BlackBerry or other mobile device / tablet without getting any applications first.

Do our customers have to be signed up with you, in order to sign the documents?
No, just the senders.

Is it compatible with Adobe Acrobat Forms?
Yes, DocuSign is compatible with static Acrobat forms, including AcroForms and XFA. If you have concerns, you can send us a few forms and we'll be happy to check!

How much would it be to have this capability for approximately 1,000 employees?
Please email me (an dot bui at docusign dot com) and I'll have someone from the sales department call you.

Is it a yearly fee, or a onetime fee?
This is a subscription service, so we can bill you annually, quarterly or whatever makes sense for your business. You pay per transactions or per seat.

Do you pay per employee, or per company?
DocuSign is priced per sender. So if you have 3,000 employees but only 1,000 need to be sending things out - you don't have to pay for the other 2,000.

Are our contracts housed on your servers?
During the transaction process, the contracts are secured on our servers. At any point in time you can retrieve and archive the document into your own systems. If you have strict policy not to keep information outside of your firewall we can destroy the copies on our servers.

I hope this helps. Let me know if there is anything else.

Using electronic signature is going to streamline your operations beyond your expectations. I can't imagine using fax or FedEx again.
