Is there a way to only display certain information in a second report filter based on what was selected for the first report filter within a pivot table?

For example if I have two report filters – one with managers names (Bob, Jack, Mary, Kelli). Then another report filter with employees names (Carol, Mike, Colleen, Darla, John). Is there any way that when I have the first report filter on Bob that in the second report filter only his employees Carol and Mike show up? Not sure if that is a possibility within excel/pivot tables.

Can you post a sample workbook showing a sample of your data and what you are trying to do.

Here is a sample of the report. When I click on Bob in the regional manager report filter I would then in the manager report filter only like to see Carol and Mike to choose from. Thanks!

It is not an easy task.

I googled for "pivot table dependent filter" and go these results:

http://www.google.ca/search?q=pivot+table+dependent+filter&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8&aq=t&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&client=firefox-a&safe=on

The first one is probably the closest to your answer...
