Hi All

I have a problem with one of my databases which is sat on a server.
When the user clicks a button to enter a new record into a form, the form goes blank ok no probs, but then when they enter data into the first field the form jumps back to the previous record and they can't enter a new patient data.

I have a copy of this Db on my PC and everything is fine. I can access their copy on the server and I cannot recreate the problem, everything works as it should.

Any clues please? I'm stumped on this one.

Hi All

I've brought this up to the top again in case anyone might have a clue?

Could it be that they need to have Access re-installed on their PC maybe?

Hi All (again)

Problem solved !!!!

I went to see the user and they didn't have the 'Num lock' key on.
I would never have thought of that.

Isn't it amazing how simple it can be!

If you hear hooves in the night, is it likely to be a Zebra in the street? (One of my tutors ways of explaining that do not imaging the least possible solution first)

On the same theme, Is there any code where you can programmatically enable the Num Lock? (to avoid equally embarrasing moments)

Col has helpfully posted this one as a separate topic here

Well I've got the same problem intermittently on one particular PC and numlock key makes no difference.

Any ideas?
