I have a report that I cannot seem to change the header/footer widths. I have designed it so everything fits on the 1 page but then pages 2,3,4 have header/footer dragged out and then my next sheet of data appears on page 5 I want this to be on page 2. I have tried to drag it in design view to decrease the width size but it will not budge I know that sometimes lines can stop you frombeing able to drag but I have looked at this and there are no hidden lines. I have also tried to go into the properties of the header/footer I can see a property for height but not for width.

Any ideas those extra blank pages are awful and a waste of paper.

One of your controls is touching the right hand edge of your report. The easiest way to find the culprit is to drage the edge of your report to the right ie make it bigger, then click in the newly created area AND KEEPING THE MOUSE BUTTON DOWN drag down the report and back to where the original edge was. When you release it ought to highlight the offending control, which can then be resized.

Invariably, the culprit will be a line at the bottom of a section so hidden by Group Header / Footer bar.
