i have a mdb using an attached dbf table. for some strange reason, the dbf table is read only when opened in my user's pc using winme and access xp but is editable when opened in my win2k access xp laptop. this behavior is consistent even when the mdb and the dbf files are copied on the user's hard disk.

i have been searching for an answer for this problem for days but can't seem to solve it. pls help.
