Is there a way to limit the verticle size of a subreport?

I have a subreport that is a list of names and voicemail extensions. I'd like to control it so if there are a certain number of lines, it will start a second or third column within the subreport.

Format your subreport as multiple column report, and size the subreport on your main report so as to allow the maximum number of columns to be displayed.
