Hi,
Has anyone used CyberCash from Access? My company wants to request credit card payments through the internet from Access. They have a web site that receives credit card payments now. Does anyone have advice on how to do this?
Thanks,
Mike

Mike-
Think you've got the wrong 'Access'. Try searching for 'CyberCash Access' in a non-forum search engine.

What we want to do is click a button from an MS Access form and as a result settle a credit card payment for a sale. The user will have already entered the credit card number and expiration date along with the other info.
When you use a credit card at a store, they run it through a little reader, enter the amount, and after a short while, get an authorization code and a print-out of the charge. This is what the folks in this company are doing now. We want to do it from Access instead.
So I do want to do it from MS Access.
Any guidance?

Woa doggy ... You want to use Access as a POS system to accept CC and hold CC#s? Man, my red Security Issues flag just went up. I suppose you are going to respond with "No, it's OK, I'm going to put a password on the system." Security in Access is just pretend. I can't believe I just used the two words together in the same sentence. It is about as hard as lighting a match to break the security in an Access DB. Just do a search on this topic on the Internet. Seriously, though, I would think about this again, if this is what you are proposing.

My security flag goes up too. That is another reason I am seeking advice. Do you know of an acceptable alternative?
Using MS Access may be more secure than the current mini-terminal approach.
For this project, I can use all the advice I can get.
