Need a bit of help here!
I've been helping some1 at work with an access 97 database they are building and I've come across a problem with queries. At the moment the database only has one table, albeit a linked table joined to an excel spreadsheet.
If I go into the query design view and create a prompt query asking for a date to be input by the user and then return all records that are on or after that date, everything runs fine. Once I save this query however and then try to re run it I get an error message quoting a numeric field overflow.
However if I make any changes to the query, eg add or remove fields then the query works fine and returns the relevant number of records until I go and save and then I have the same error message being created.
Any suggestions? What I have noticed is on a different query which just looks for a particular piece of text in a string, this works once saved so it would seem to be something relating to the date field I am querying.
