Hello,

I have a report that is made in landscape view with margins set to be .5 for left and right.

Once I open the database and click on a button on a form that opens the report it displays fine. But problem start to arise after I close the report and click on the button again. The report somehow goes into portrait mode and margins get reset to 1.

I go ahead and close the DB and then do the process over, this time it goes straight to portrait mode.

What could be the problem?

Thanks,

Sunny

When I create a report, I do not set up a printer. This sends the report to the default printer for the workstation. If you have a default printer that does not accept landscape, margin settings, etc. the report can revert back to a generic setup. This happened to me when I had the generic text printer on lpt1 set up as the default... Maybe this is happening in your situation?

There is a patch available for Access on the Microsoft web site. It corrects the problem of reports going back to their orginal default setting (default setting is portrait, 1 inch margins). I'm sorry but I've forgotten which patch it is.
Good Luck
