Hello,
From my workstation, I tried to set user-level security for 1 of 2 db in a shared folder (which I never set up this before).
I set up the user names and passwords for db1 only but the when I opened db2, db2 also popped up the logon box.
1. I want to setup the users' accounts for one db only, not at application level. Pls advise how...
2. How do I unset this user-level security (remove the whole security thing...)?

You have a lot of reading ahead of you. Search the forum for the keyword "system.mdw" and add my user name. You should also search for the keyword "security" and add the user name Pat Hartman for she has replied to thousands of security posts and a great link to a security article you must read.

One word of advice...BACKUP your db before, during and after you play with Access security!
