I'm working on a database that someone else has created and has gotten out of date. I need to add a few additional forms for my client. The problem is that the database opens up to a form on a dialog. There no way for me to edit the existing forms or add new ones. The familiar controls for designing and creating tables/forms/reports are not present. How do I edit this database? I'm using Access 2000. Thanks for any help.

Hold down the [SHIFT] key when you open it.

Have you tried holding down the SHIFT key when you open your db? If the orginal designer has not disabled this function, this should take you to the database window, where all of the tables, forms, queries etc will be displayed

Wow, thanks guys. Is there a good reference for this type of stuff? I'm kind of new to the features of access that don't relate to design and data entry. Thanks for the fast response.
