Oh well, at least someone is making some money off our efforts  Been thinking about the cost of this site myself. It would be a drag if all of a sudden they got tired of paying for it. KenHigg 11-08-2005, 11:21 AM I think it's left wing thing, if someone enjoys it, tax it... :) jsanders 11-08-2005, 11:26 AM I think it's left wing thing, if someone enjoys it, tax it... :) That about a stretch. Maybe it’s a right wing thing. If we can’t raise the money, lets just increase the deficit. Rich 11-08-2005, 12:52 PM Hell it could be worse, we could have been forced to watch Bush's adverts  MrsGorilla 11-08-2005, 02:13 PM Hey, when did those start up? It is a little irritating. Oh, well. I guess I can skim over them about as easily as I can posts about Bush. :D ;) KenHigg 11-08-2005, 05:25 PM Or posts by Rich. Oh, wait, there one in the same...) Rich 11-08-2005, 11:40 PM Or posts by Rich. Oh, wait, there one in the same...) Rich doesn't lie to the American people, or the rest of the world for that matter, Rich doesn't want to rule the world, Rich uses rhetoric as a weapon, Rich isn't a bully, Rich hasn't fried humans, Rich doesn't lock up humans without trial or justification, Rich isn't Texan, Rich isn't a Republican, Rich can't be bought  Mile-O 11-09-2005, 01:15 AM Urgh! They're horrible. I suppose a site like this does cost quite a bit to run, though. My one wish is that the Admin showed up more often; can't remember the last time I saw him. The vBulletin software has went through numberous upgrades since this forum was last updated - this is vB 3.0.1; the latest id vB 3.5.1 and, if you haven't seen it yet, it's rather funky. :D I'd love to see this place given a makeover; some decent colour and a good logo. Anything to get away from this off-the-shelf package. It's not that hard to play with the CSS editor in the admin panel to come up with a new colour scheme and to add a logo. Brianwarnock 11-09-2005, 02:11 AM As long as they don't do what UtterAccess did and go for a style that made the font so small that us visually challenged guys can't cope with it. Rich 11-09-2005, 03:25 AM Is every Muslim evil? KenHigg 11-09-2005, 03:33 AM I would guess not. Why, where did I imply that? Rich 11-09-2005, 03:39 AM I would guess not. Why, where did I imply that? You didn't, but many do, hell I've even seen American sites that attempt to justify the war in Iraq as retribution for 9/11. It's called something like steadfast patriot, or some such bo***** KenHigg 11-09-2005, 03:45 AM You didn't, but many do, ... Oh, so you were just going off on one of your self-rightous rants... Carry on then... :) jsanders 11-09-2005, 03:50 AM Rich isn't Texan, Don’t fret Rich. They’ll let you move there. At least you speak English You’ll find them friendly and courteous. You’ll eat better than you ever did in Britain. You can go down to the gulf, go deep sea fishing, take the grand kids to the beach, and meet a whole other way of life that few people are lucky enough to experience. Hell you might even learn how to like chili, get yourself a cowboy hat, and ride a horse. Ya’ll come back now, you hear? I may have to ask for some... :) Mile-O 11-09-2005, 05:31 AM I'm wanting to try all the other stuff; zebra, springbok, kudu, wildebeest, bison, and so on. I've had kangaroo and wild boar before, and ostrich. Mmmm jsanders 11-09-2005, 05:35 AM Bison is very lean. Wild pig is just absolutely delicious. But of all the American wilderness meats I think Elk reigns supreme. KenHigg 11-09-2005, 05:39 AM I'm wanting to try all the other stuff; zebra, springbok, kudu, wildebeest, bison, and so on. I've had kangaroo and wild boar before, and ostrich. Mmmm Just curious, would you be willing to shoot and clean one of these? Mile-O 11-09-2005, 05:49 AM Just curious, would you be willing to shoot and clean one of these? Shoot no; prepare and clean, yes. jsanders 11-09-2005, 06:02 AM Shoot no; prepare and clean, yes. We’ve (local friends) had this discussion many times. People will eat dead animals, with little care about the fact that they had to die so they could eat them. I have a meat eating friend that would make his guest release the fish they caught on his boat. Then they would stop at a sea side restaurant and eat fish. Some people think it’s cruel to hunt deer; they’ll be discussing it at dinner over steaks. Go figure. KenHigg 11-09-2005, 06:03 AM Nothing like being honest. :) Rich 11-09-2005, 10:18 AM Nothing like being honest. :) But you're not being honest here, Kenny, you hunt for pleasure not food  :p KenHigg 11-09-2005, 10:54 AM But you're not being honest here, Kenny, you hunt for pleasure not food  :p Would happen to know where I could apply for a permit to hunt in Plymouth? :D Rich 11-09-2005, 11:01 AM Would happen to know where I could apply for a permit to hunt in Plymouth? :D you don't need a permit to frequent the local nightclubs Kenny, just some body armour :D reclusivemonkey 11-10-2005, 07:06 AM Hey, when did those start up? FoFa 11-10-2005, 07:56 AM For more interesting stuff: Alternative Meats (http://www.alternativemeats.co.uk). Probably would not let us import that stuff.
