Once upon a time, wasn't he quite well liked and respected?
Did GWB ruin it all for him?

It is possible that some people may have got that impression. However he was elected by a minority of the UK.

Maybe I am a bit biased in that I do not like him, his policies, his viewpoint, well anything really I suppose.

Did GWB ruin it for him.....No he managed it all by himself

How could this be possible?

If 60% of those eligible to vote do vote and you get 35% of the vote you may well be in the lead but you will have been elected by a minority of those able to vote.

Happens in most elections cos the buggers will not get off their chuffs and take an interest.

Well, if you look at it that way it's almost impossible not to be elected by a minority.

True

A sad reflection that in "free" countries where people do have afree vote the leaders get elected by a minority whereas other leaders are elected by a majority but it is not a free vote

Anyway he just has to go

Could you ask him if he'll be a sport and take Bush with him?

Retire them both eh

If only life were that simple Len :( , you and I both know that for many years there just hasn't been what's seen as an electable alternative, otherwise he'd have been out after one.
