Yep, and am fricking loving it! Thanks to an imported US Box Set and good old Bit Torrent, I am up to Episode 7 of Season 2 - the scope and depth of the storylines are awesome!

You into it?

Yep, I'm up to S02E07 too. I suppose the US thread, then, is for us. :D

Can't you leave the spoilers out, delete this post, and post it on the Lost (US) thread?

The last episode on "proper" terrestrial TV (Channel 4 Wednesday night) was Episode 17 ...In Translation.

This weeks is Numbers which sounds fantastic.

Hurley's story. It's good, little touch of humour, and begins to create even bigger mysteries. ;)

Hurley's story is the one i saw, and im not so sure ... it was a bit far fetched ... (not that the bear wasn't mind you) i donno, i was looking foward to his story too :(

Thing i like about the story idea is that a lot of them are linked before the crash eh!

Yeah, they all seem to appear in each other's flashbacks - not always obvious - but there's certainly something connecting them.

Yeah totally gripped with Lost. can't wait for series 2 now. On a side note I have to saw when watching the making of it on the Series 1 DVD, the bit from episode 1 when sawyer shoots the polar bear had me in fits of laughter!!

The full series box set is worth buying it for this alone!! Oh and when you see Sayid's audition tape. God was that a shocker :)

Please note - these aren't spoliers!

Did anyone see the report on the writer who is suing because he claimed he had already written this in the seventies? I guess anything that makes a lot of money in America attracts the lawsuits...

I heard.

Regarding these make moeny/sue cases I would have loved for Dan Brown to lose his case against Lewis Perdue but, when the judge uses the exact same words as Random House used as their defence to stop the case getting to court I suspect a rat. That, and Dan Brown's unwillingness, or his lawyer's advice, not to go under oath as saying he wrote the book, he hadn't heard of Lewis Perdue, and that he researched the book ( ).

You need to get yourselves PVRs! Watch what you want, when you want. I didn't have a TV for about five years because TV just didn't hold my attention. The times I did want to chill out and watch something there was never anything on. When I go round to my gf's now and just can't pick what I want to watch from a list of things I like, its like going back into the archaic past! I think you can pick up a freeview box with a hard drive in now fairly cheap. I put a donated PC and £20 bargin bin TV card together and installed MythTV, which is fantastic. If you're not a Linux buff, it can be a chore to set up (I actually didn't have too much trouble once I worked out the frequencies for the channels and the sound channel settings); there is KnoppMyth now though, which is MythTV+Knoppix for an easy installation.

Carefull, they'll sue you for that comment.

how many series is it going to have?

Uknown. The producers know how they want the show to end, having created a story arc. I suppose it will have as many series as the viewing figures allow and, when they start to drop, it will conclude.

A&E Network in the States has a series called "Intervention". Usually about drug, sex or gambling addictions and friends trying get the afflicted on to seek help. Really good the other week when the target of the show was a cosmetic surgery junkie. Tall, really good looking blonde in her 40s who had already had over 100 surgeries and was planning more.

ooooh well .... that’s a whole other story! Maybe we should do a plastic surgery topic? real life or TV ... hmmmm busy busy the now but I might just do that, bet there will be some great opinions(arguments) on here about it. :p

Anyway LOST! its really good eh! i wonder if the transmission on the wee plane has sparked folk to look for them? hmmmmm and oh ya! I wouldne want to be near the hatch when that bl00dy light came on anyway ... nae chance! If i saw that i would be swimming home! in any direction.

(i never saw it last night so im the catch up on sunday mind ...)

There are some very good websites out there for Lost (see the Lost US thread) and the UK-based Channel4 one is pretty good too.

http://www.channel4.com\lost

However, like the others you have to enter in some codes to get further in.

The latest is John Locke...if you select "the untold" section of the site and choose Locke from the passenger manifest, you'll see the option of the black pebble or white pebble. If you choose black the really good stuff happens.

If you get as far as seeing a bloodied Boone and it asks "at what age" the answer is 6. It then goes to a really neat graphic of Locke hunched over the hatch...if you click on the flashing text "it was supposed to work" a light appears from the small glass window. It then says "Enter the correct number below"

Any ideas?

We've tried 815 (going for the obvious first) but no joy there.

So, whose background stories do you know now?
I see you know Hurley's.... which others do you remember?
Which are your favourites? I remember quite liking Hurley's myself.
In fact, I've not been unimpressed with any of them.

What are you doing at college, Lyns?

TessB

The druggie guy....
I think his name is Merry!
;)

Actually, it's Charlie.
And the guy who shot the bear is known as Sawyer.

Pregnant girl is Claire.

I remember my husband started watching the series before I did... something else was on at the time. I came out of my room and he said, "You HAVE to watch this!!!" I said...."It looks like a stupid "monster-on-the-island" show. I'm not into monsters." And went back in my room. Several shows later, I sat down and watched it with him. Thankfully, he had taped the ones I had missed. I'm totally hooked and never miss a show. HE has some catching up to do as his sports games are constantly conflicting with the LOST schedule. (Now he's totally lost!) I've got them taped for him though.

Well, he's got until mid-January to catch up because of your stupid Christmas schedules.

You can also download episodes of Lost via Bittorrent if you need to. I missed "Numbers" (the hard drive on my PVR went), so I downloaded that to catch up. One of the more enjoyable episodes (I often find myself at the end going "Well whats new there then?) It was in High Definition (I think, must of been from the US), which looked great :-)

why does no one trust lock?

I think saeid(sp??) was right lock is one of the best chances of survival in that place.

Wonder what the script is with boon contacting someone over that radio? hmmm...

another good one last night though, dont think jack is very well at all.

ok so i still dont know the babys name! do you not just think being on an island like that and having a baby screeming all day would drive you insane! thats all the wee thing seems to do!

Mile-O
