View Full Version : Couch or Gym? Mile-O 11-30-2005, 08:52 AM Thought I'd get this forum underway. :D reclusivemonkey 11-30-2005, 09:18 AM Couch is o.k. but you have to get out of bed to get there... Rich 11-30-2005, 10:42 AM I've always preferred the couch, but I guess if one could find a willing partner the gym'll do just fine  Andromeda 11-30-2005, 07:05 PM i've truied the gym and all my oxygen level got burned .. headache sux MrsGorilla 12-01-2005, 11:52 AM Used to be the gym, pre-pregnancy. Now it's neither. :( Friday 12-03-2005, 12:44 PM Couch is o.k. but you have to get out of bed to get there... LOL !!! This is me... lmnop7854 12-04-2005, 06:10 AM Used to be the gym, pre-pregnancy. Now it's neither. :( I'm with you. However, I have always loved the gym. I plan to try working out at home in a few months, once I can get the little darling to play by herself for a half hour or more. Lisa Hayley Baxter 12-04-2005, 12:27 PM A bit of both  Don't actually attend a gym but have a little mini gym at home. Used to be really active training 6 nights of the week when I was with my Athletics club but then you have no time for anything else so gave that up. Still think it's important to work out though especially when you have a job where you sit in front of a pc all day. Hay MrsGorilla 12-06-2005, 02:12 PM I'm with you. However, I have always loved the gym. I plan to try working out at home in a few months, once I can get the little darling to play by herself for a half hour or more. Lisa I'm going to try to do that as well. It just took me so long to start feeling normal again. My husband is an avid weightlifter though, so we have tons of stuff at home that I can play with as I have time. Finding time + energy is the problem though. :( Brianwarnock 12-07-2005, 01:23 AM Used to do the gym in the winter to keep fit for walking, I don't see the point in walking in the cold and wet, I've not gone this year though, but I do try to walk everywhere and avoid lifts and escalators. Attached memories of last summer MrsGorilla 12-07-2005, 07:58 AM Used to do the gym in the winter to keep fit for walking, I don't see the point in walking in the cold and wet, I've not gone this year though, but I do try to walk everywhere and avoid lifts and escalators. Attached memories of last summer I also take the stairs at work when I can. I try to walk up to my office at least once a day, which is 8 floors from the basement level where I park. Awesome pic. ColinEssex 12-07-2005, 08:05 AM Couch - sometimes you need to get up though to find the TV remote:( Col reclusivemonkey 12-07-2005, 08:08 AM I also take the stairs at work when I can. I try to walk up to my office at least once a day, which is 8 floors from the basement level where I park. Brian Was that the one that was on it's way to bring you back down? :D Brianwarnock 01-09-2006, 04:57 AM Was that the one that was on it's way to bring you back down? :D If only, coming down is hard on the old joints:) It was on a training execise which nearly turned into a real exercise as its downdraught blew a climber off his hold, he was saved by his ropes but crashed into the rock face and sprained his wrist, resulting in him needing to be helped down by his companions. I only know this as he is a work colleague of my walking buddy. Brian KenHigg 01-09-2006, 05:09 AM This one? See attachment, but how does one put pics into a post? Brian You should be able to upload the image to a free image hosting site like this one: http://www.freeimagehosting.net/ After it uploads, copy the url and then do the 'Insert Image' thing on the toolbar...
