    Editing records in a form

When you say, "the first thing to check is that (your form is not updatable)," what exactly (and how) am I supposed to check? This has to be the simplest possible form. The tables are from simple excel spreadsheets. I can't update the form when it is built directly from the tables OR when it...

    Editing records in a form

I've tried several of the suggestions and it still doesn't seem to work. I'll explain. First, I went through the process to invoke the query builder, then I saved the query. I then created a new form built on the query. I had the exact same problem...I cannot update any fields. So, to sum...

Exporting a form to a report

I see the trick. You only get from and Data Access page if you select Save As from the top menu when the form is open. You have to select, but not open the form and then click Save As to be able to export it as a report. Thanks, Kelly

The option to Save As a report is not available. I can only Save As a form or a Data Acess Page. Any more ideas? Thanks, Kelly

Exporting a form to a report

I have a form that pulls a number of records from a number of different tables. I want to see basically the same information in a report. Is it possible to export the set up to a report so I don't have to build a report from scratch? Thanks, Kelly

    Editing records in a form

I have a very simple form that is populating fields with records from a number of tables (not queries). I have found that I cannot edit any of the records from the form. Almost all of these fields are NOT key fields. When I click in the field, it simply selects the text in the field, but does...

Adding fields from new tables into forms

Thanks for the replies. First, I created the form from a number of tables, not a queries. However, I have found the way to do this: Open the form and select design view. Right click in the form and click "properties." Select "Form" from the drop down box. Click on the "Data" tab. Click on the...

Adding fields from new tables into forms

I created a form from the wizard. In the wizard, I added fields from two tables. Now, after the form is complete (and I've edited it in Design view so that it looks how I want it), I want to add another field from a third table. Although I can add fields from the first two tables that were...
