Access Question * PLS help* (1 Viewer)

hi, strike me as an access newbie if you will.. but imstumped on this 1 question , i hope some of you can help me


i need to create Combo Box that will look at 'tblProducts' and look at the 'ProductID' and Item fields. This combo Box will store the value of ProductID (the primary field for this table) within the forms 'ProductID field'.

lol, i have no idea how to do this, if someone has some instructions that would be terrific ..

It's not clear what you are trying to achieve with your combo box. These questions need to be asked before some meaningful answer could be formulated:

a) what is the name of your combo box's record source?

b) are you trying to update a textbox in your main form using the value obtained from your combo box or are you trying to update the record source of your main form?

c) if you are trying to update your main form's record source, what is the name of this table?

If you could answer these three questions, I (or someone else) might be able to help you.
