Blobs and Images (1 Viewer)

Hi,

I am trying to create a database to catalog images for a museum. I would like to have thumbnail jpegs stored in the database and link to the full tiff version (which would open up in another application when clicked). I am new to Access but would like to try making the thumbnail jpegs into Blobs in the OLE field in order to avoid bloat.

I'm not sure how one would go about doing this (it is my understanding you must turn the image into a Blob and then extract it back out?). Does anyone have any knowledge in this (I'd be extremely grateful for any help possible)?!

Here is a sample I worked on that loads the images to a folder "images" (WHICH RESIDES IN THE SAME FOLDER AS YOUR DB). It stores the link in a table, so it does not bloat your DB. Just make a form or report to view them.
