Missing toolbox
Recently I lost the the functionality of the toolbox then shortly after I lost the toolbox icon completely.
The only way to use the features was to create an new toolbar. System Restore finally fixed the problem. This has happened twice on me with the 200 and 2003 versions. Is it me? and is there an easier way to sort this. Reinstalling Access never cured the problem either. Ta

Is it a toolbar you have made your self or one already made by access?

Is it still available under Tools>Customize? Does it work properly when you open with a <SHIFT> key down.

This just happened to me too. The toolbox icon shows up on the toolbar, but pressing it does not open the toolbox. How can I get the toolbox back? This happens in both form design view and report design. Any help?

Okay....I finally fixed this. It's kinda weird though and I'm gonna let everyone know how I fixed it in case someone else has this happen. First, when you go to the tools>customize, the toolbox toolbar does not appear in the window that lists the different toolbars. I don't know where it went, or how it disappeared from there, but it was not in the list. I then chose another toolbar and clicked properties. Then, there is a combo box called Selected Toolbar. I then scrolled down and found the toolbox toolbar there. I selected it and pressed the restore defaults button. Lo and behold, the toolbox bar is now back in the list and functions fine.
Hope this helps someone else. I'm still at a loss for how it disappeared in the first place though. |

Thanks for your thoughs on this boys.
It was the standard Toolbox that I was refering to. Like I said, system resore fixed it. I'll try Rakier's fix next time. Enjoy.
