I want to scroll through records in Access 2010 forms with the mouse scroll wheel.

Is there any way I can do this?

it should just work - providing the form has focus

Unfortunately it does not work for me, even when the form does have focus (using normal Microsoft USB mouse).

I always used the mouse scroll wheel in Access 2000, but having upgraded, I find this does not work, and I have to use the PgUp and PgDn buttons, which is very much slower and more inconvenient.

hmm, it works for me OK. If you've upgraded from 2000, do you mean to have converted to 2010 or running a 2000 application in 2010? If the latter, try updating to 2010 (your original file will not be affected). There are a number of features which work differently in .accdb v .mdb. Since scrolling in 2003 and earlier needed a fix for it to work properly and this was fixed in 2007 and later, scrolling may well be one of them. - If you have the pre 2003 fix you may need to remove it

My old Vista computer died three weeks ago, so I had to replace it with a Windows 7 one. I understood that Access 2000 would not work on the new computer and so I have to use Access 2010. I simply opened my Access 2000 database in Access 2010.

I thought 2000 would work on win 2007 but don't have experience myself.

However if you are using 2010 on a 2000 db, my comments still stand - save as an accdb

I have done that. I have saved the 2000 database as an accdb. Unfortunately the scroll wheel still does not work.

OK - I'm about to go away for a week or so and don't have any more suggestions - I'll see if someone else can suggest something

That is extremely helpful, thank you very much.

As a matter of interest, does Access 2013 also have this problem or have Microsoft enabled the scroll wheel again in Access 2013?
