A MS Partner that worked on MS Excel products for years has a product for ASP, .NET to develop Excel Reports.
Of course the market is for .NET. However, this product appears to have some interface for VBA.
Example:
Reads and Writes VBA macros
Easy to use API which will be familiar to Excel VBA and COM developers while taking advantage of .NET's expressiveness.
My Access Application uses Citrix to distribute the client nationally. I don't use Access Reports. Instead, I use Excel VBA Object Model to create highy customized reports from MS Access modules.
The idea of having a tool to connect to SQL Server, the idea of calling a .NET module to create the Excel report has crossed my mind.
Perhaps using MS Access to call a .NET module to create the Excel report.
Just wondering if anyone else might have experience with SpreadsheetGear or have some ideas of how this might possibly integrate with MS Access?
