Business Objects universe (1 Viewer)

HI all

been a while seen Ive been on, mainly cos Ive moved away from Access.

Anyway, onto the problem at hand, Ive been sent an .unv file to upload to our BOXI server.

Now Ive been doing a bit of digging on the web but most searches that are being returned are about importing excel documents into BOXI or creating a Universe from scratch.

I think I have a idea of how to import the .unv file - I open designer, browse to the C drive were I have detached the .unv file and open said .unv file. My thoughts now are that I just need to upload to the server using Export from the the File menu to the existing Universe folder.

Does thats sound about right?

I am not sure. But there are a lot of experts on the http://www.forumtopics.com/ forum. I have not done much with .UNV files. Attempting to learn what is possible with .UNX files (the new and ?improved universes).

I know that universe design tool is used to create/modify tools. It appears that you can import a .unv file from your local drive, but then it would have to be exported to the BO server.
