Yes/No Box Color in Query

I have 4 yes/no check box fields in a query when selected will show that quarterly payments were received. I would like to change the back color of the field when check box is checked yes.

I have read some on conditional formatting but this is not available in the query and grayed out when in the report. It is available in other fields but not this control. What am I missing?

I have tried selecting "Event" in the property sheet-> on click -> choose code builder->but I don't even know where to begin with this...any help would be appreciated.

sorry - you can't do it with the checkbox control you get a green tick if true, nothing if false and a green square if null.

The only way to do it would be to make your own control - create a text box that is one character wide, put a tick or whatever character you want in it (may have to choose a different font like wingdings) then use the onclick event to change from true to false and the conditional formatting to set the back and fore colours depending on the true or false
