Hello everyone,

I tried to apply "compact on close" and I get the following message/error.

The Microsoft Office Access database engine cannot change the design of M:\416.accdb. The minimum required version to change the design is 41.0.0000.0000.

What does this mean and how do I fix it. BTW, I am using Access 2007.

Thanks in advance for any help you can give:)

In your DB you have bits made in Access 2010, and those bits are not compatible with A2007. Get th edb into A2010 and delete whetever it is that is bothering it and save again. It can be difficult to ID what it is, so you could import stuff into a new blank db a few objects at a time and see what causes problems on compact

This must have been the problem. I created a new DB and imported everything I didn't work on from 2010. Works like a charm now.

Thanks!!:D
