Hello,
I am having errors when trying to design pivot tables. If I open a large table (2.3 million records) of interest and try to create pivot tables, I get the following errors when I drag the first column of data into any pivot field:
For the first drag, I may get a correct display of the data, or I'll get "The query could not be processed: The data provider didn’t supply any further error information."
For the second and all subsequent drags I get "The query could not be processed: Database already exists."
Removing/adding/switching positions, variable types, etc does not matter on any of the attempts -- the same error(s) appear.
If I open or make up a small table, I can create and manipulate pivot tables with ease. The large file size of the file in question appears to be the problem.
One potential explanation I was able to find on another forum was that there was potential hardware and software mismatch. I appear to be in the same situation - I am running Windows 7 on a 64-bit machine, and my company installed a 32-bit version of Office. In particular, I'm running Microsoft Office 2010 14.0.7106.5003 (32-bit).
As was suggested on that post, reinstallation of Office and registry cleaning did the trick, but that seems like a lot of work for potentially naught.
Any one else experienced the same thing? Any insights, solutions, thoughts?
Thank you!
