Hi Everyone,

I am semi-new to access and am running some databases. For a query I am trying to run, I get the error 3190 too many fields defined. I have tried compacting and repair with no luck. Also it seems as if I am not "full" of data as I have only a small amount of data I am working with (50 fields or so). Any help or feedback would be greatly appreciated! Sorry if I am in the wrong place on the forum, just need some help as I am desperate!!!

What type of query are you running?

The maximum in an Access table or query is 255 but the number of fields depends on the query. For example, an Update query needs two fields for each that is being updated.

Too many fields usually indicates that the data structure is incorrect.

Tell us about your tables.
