The record set is not updateable

Hi,

I'm really sorry to be posting a question that I'm sure has been answered time and time again. However, I'm relatively new to access and I've come across and issue with a database I'm working on but didn't build.

I have a form that includes and checkbox and to give you a background to what it's used for... It's to manage ordering materials/stock. Once the stock arrives and we have received all the materials, the checkbox is ticked and the line/entry dissapears from the form.

This worked for some time, however recently it displays an error message in the status bar that ready "This record set is not updateable"

Can someone point me in the right direction? I've read through some of the threads on here and other sites, however I'm not really sure which applies to my situation.

Any help would be GREATLY appreciated!
