Command Button on Tab Control (1 Viewer)

Easy Question ... I Hope

First off I will admit that I am relatively new to Access and VB (basically self taught on both). I am trying to revise a form that was created by someone else. I have one form with mulitple tabs. I copied and pasted a command button on a tab so I could do the same action on another control. But now the command button shows up on all my tabs!! Ive looked through the properties (they are all still the same as the other command buttons).

Any ideas?

thanks for the help

You can't copy and past controls onto tabs; you need to define them individually.

You create a control and place it on the tab. If you paste one then it doesn't belong to the tab but the form and therefore can appear on all tabs.

If coding, however, you can still refer to a control on a tab directly as it is (in essence) still of the form.
