Take a look at my revisedexample.zip attached. It's has Access 2002 mdb and an Access 97. What you posted in not a 97 and it may have been a 2000. I use 2002.
I've changed the status combobox and added a OnCurrent event to test the total points and set the color. I use the index in setting the color rather than the color itself.
