A barcode reading issue (1 Viewer)

Hello everyone

I'm finishing a program and I have a problem with the barcode

I have added the font (Font39-free3of9) to display and extract the code in a barcode form, and I have no problem except the following:

I have a barcode scanner reader of type Cipher that reads some codes correctly and some codes not , so I tried it from my phone on two programs
QR scanner which gave me the same result as Cipher
And
Barcode scanner from zxing returns the value correctly!!!
What is the problem exactly please, & any suggested solution?

Talk to the manufacturer?
Try a different font provider?
If zxing works why are you using Cipher?

- The team before me was using it with an other program & it seems was working.
- Do you suggest any other font?
- Zxing is on phone - & we won't use it as a scanner.

I don't have scanner so can't recommend specific font source. Google then trial and error.

I did & reinstalled the driver- but not much help..

You say scanner hooked to phone returns same result as when hooked to computer? Well, that does sound like faulty scanner.

I said the phone hooked to PC gave me separate values with different applications..

2 different outputs with 3 - scanners- 1 external & 2 on the phone.

how did you create the Barcode?
did you add character "*" as Prefix/Suffix to the encoded string first?

Here you go, i have just added a field - the same content as the field I want i had (i.e. STNM-L-12) & changed the font to font free 3 of 9 & I got the bar codes .
Yes, I've added "*" before & after the field content.
