This is kind of old, but still needed in some cases.
How to convert a reports thats made in crystal 7.x to crystal 8.x:
1) open the report in crystal reports 8
2) Then go to database-->verify database
3) Search for your db connection
4) The report is being checked/verified with the database
5) formulas/queries wich are not written in the right way will come up (booleans 0 and 1, need to be replaced by False and True for instance)
6) go to database-->Show SQL query
7) klik on button [reset]
6) after changing the formules and resetting SQL query, save the report in CR8 style
Watch out!
When you have changed a formula and crystal reports messages you that he has finished, do the verifying again!! Always keep on verifying till NO formulas have to be changed!
