Dear members of the Access Forum,

I need a database called SciGlass for scientific research as part of my thesis.
However, this database is no longer commercially available and is only accessible on GitHub as an .mdb file from Access 2.0 (Github).
As you may know, this file cannot be opened with the newer Access versions.
Is there anyone in the forum who still has access to older versions of Access and could convert this database into the new format for me?
All other converters I have tried either did not convert anything or omitted many important pieces of information.

Thank you very much in advance,
Emanuel

I'm sorry, the link seems to have been lost: github.com/epam/SciGlass

Do you just want the data or all database objects including code?
You can send me a PM or email to discuss.

Hi, actually I was looking for a way to open Sciglass database and found this forum. Can you share the converted version? Thank you very much!

You can’t convert Access 2.0 files using A2007
Ah well, that is me out then. :(

Seems to import? I just used Property as a test.
I did get a message saying it was in 2.0 format though?

I can open this file but I'm not sure if such conversion is correct. I need some time to check in detail. But thank you any way!

I do not htink it has TBH.
I just checked a table and there was no ID in the records? The table was DT, yet others look fine (to me at least)

Best wait for @isladogs as he has all versions, or hope the O/P responds.

Well,I have tried the converted database but it doesn't work perfectly. When I clicked some query, it said that input file or the query cannot be found....

Luckily I kept a copy of the files that I converted.
I remember it took quite a while to do as it required several conversions - from memory it was from A2.0 to A97 to A2000 then to ACCDB.
The zip file is 167 MB and after unzipping its almost 1 GB
It contains a huge data file (Select.accdb) as well as the converted database Property.accdb which has just one simple code function

I'll put the download link in a reply to your PM

I also have a file in access 2.0 format, and I need a converter for access 2007 or higher. Could you convert it for me too?

Whilst I probably can convert your database from Access 2.0 to a current version, it takes several steps and can take a while to do, especially if any issues arise. I didn't charge on the previous occasion as it was for a database available to all on a public domain (GitHub)

However, if yours is a private or work database, I reserve the right to charge for my time
See my article: https://www.isladogs.co.uk/database-conversion/

If that is acceptable to you, please contact me by email to discuss further
