line shading

Hi, how do i modify the line shading so that it takes into account the whole info linked to a contract.

In the example u can see that that contracts 11I005 and 11I006 have 2 payments for the same invoice, but the line shading is all wrong.

cContractsID is Text data type

If i move to the details, i get duplicate date.

Are you paying for the advice or code you are receiving here? We are freely giving our time and expertise here and when we ask for something we expect the owner of the thread to comply.

If you wanted some assistance what you could have done was create a new database of some sort, put it on sample data and upload it so I can help you and not respond with, "the info I gave so far should be sufficient".

i asked a question about a report and yes if someone wants and can help me that's great and i thank him/her for that.

i showed u the design of the report which has all the fields, and one of the tables involved in the query used for the report (even though i told you that the field was "text" type 2 times before)

if you can explain why do you need the whole database, then i will show it to you, but from my point of view a report deals with only small part of the whole, small part that i shared.

The point I'm trying to get to you is, I want to see a representation of your report with some sample data. I don't need to see your database, I need to see A database with the report and some data.

I've just looked at your db. Do you realise what you are asking will make your highlighting inconsitent?

To make things clearer, just put the layout in Excel with the correct shading and the grouping and upload it here.

Also, what about removing (i.e. setting it to White) the Alternate Back Color in the Detail section?
