Game 3 ended at about 11:30 p.m. and Game 4 will start around 5:00 p.m. That gives him approximately 17 hours to rest. It's not enough.

While I admit this game will remaine in history as one of the best baseball games (both sides), still I think nobody forgets the poor deceision of not facing a good hitter.

The Jays coach put aside his ego, the public desires, followed Sun Tzu's logic, and they prevented the Dodgers from scoring any runs for 10 innings until eventually someone other than Ohtani scored the solo home run. The Jays could have easily won that game if any player batted a run in (RBI), or hit a homer, but they didn't. Stay tuned for game 5...

From the prespective of someone who doesn't know a lot about Baseball, if I was a Blue Jays fan, I would be disappointed at the deceision that the coach made. 5 intentional walk for Ohtani and one for Betts.
Fans from both side have gathered to see elite players battle it out — pitcher vs. hitter — not to see one team avoid the challenge. We are sitting in front of TV to see a game, not a strategy to win.
I understand that from a manager’s perspective, it’s about probability, not pride. But in a high-stakes World Series, intentional walks feels unsatisfying. And not once, or twice, but 5 times.

If I were a Blue Jays fan who values fair and head-to-head competition — I’d probably feel disappointed that my team’s big moment was defined more by avoiding greatness than by facing it.

Kita, the Dodgers and the Yankees have the highest payrolls making them the second and first most valuable baseball team. They literally can buy the championship. So I think the Blue Jays manager was smart to put the brakes on Ohtani. I know you want to have your fellow countryman's back.

Ohtani is even a greater player because opposing teams fear him and the created Ohtani Rule. Sooner or later a pitcher will find his weakness.

The spectators are secondary. They are focused on winning via whatever means achieves that result. Their continued employment depends on it and the bonus money is a big incentive.

Agreed, death and destruction is avoided. If the other side decides to attack, you have the high ground, know your turf better than they do, and don't need to haul needed supplies far to defeat the enemy.
