renaming it doesn't help. he was running access97. also, we have a very archaic system that we use for our company but it works really well. i'm not too sure what kind of work will be involved in order to upgrade to latest version but i think it's something we'lll have to look into.

Sorry, when i say reverting back, when he sends me back the file, all new changes are lost. he is using access97 and pressing shift the opening file.

Hello again Ruralguy, I have resolved the issue 99%. I just got rid of the entries in the page footer and header and inserted in the main body of the report. receipts are now printing accordingly. I just want to say a huge thank for you time in replying.

ah yes..of course.... just rather frustrating that i've managed to get everything else working but what should have been the most easiest part is causing me problems... :-(
