Searching for a String in Query SQL

All, I apologise if this has already been covered in another thread, but I searched and searched and still didn't find the answer. We are converting our databases from Access 97 to Access 2003 and we have found that if we have used the "Like" in the criteria in a query in 97, 2003 does not...

Table: MSYSOBJECTS Field DateUpdate not updating

All, We use msysobjects in a query to display which objects have been changed/modified to monitor updates to our Access 97 systems. However, in Access 2003 we have now noticed that the field DateUpdate is not changing when we save a change on a report or form etc... We have tried creating a...

    Cumulative row function?

If I understand you right, these are item lines in your bank account? My initial thought would be to use a subform a view of each item line and make this a continuous form, then you can put a sum in the form footer to give to a running total each time an item line is added into the table. Hope...

I have a Nokia 6510, I got it years ago, but it's small and it has a radio built in which is quite good sometimes. ;) I would like a new phone like the Samsung v500 (or something) but i'm too tight to replace something that still works :D Brett

    Mass property change on report...

Lazy Dave, Here's a lazy answer... (depends on how many reports you have) How about opening each report in design mode and pressing Ctrl-A to select all the objects. Then click on the icon for 'Font/Fore Color' on the tool bar and choose 'black', this will do all the lables and text boxes...

    Generating HTML code snippets

tigerlily I did something like this years ago (1997-98ish) for an internet company I was working for at the time. We had a products database and we published new products onto the internet by generating the HTML from the database. Do forgive me for not having any code examples and there is...

    Currency Format

Rhounsome I know this isn't much help at all but this is from the Access help file about the format property :( Remarks The Format property affects only how data is displayed. It doesn't affect how data is stored. Microsoft Access provides predefined formats for Date/Time, Number and...

    Capital letters in text

Nick If you put your code in the afterupdate event of MyTextBox then i don't see why this won't work. As for captions... I never use them (can't be arsed, same goes for comments in table design, but maybe I should being a profressional and all :D :D  ) I thought they were only used...

    Capital letters in text

Nick, If you are talking about input on a form, you can do effect the input in a number of ways. I'm sure many people will have other suggestions, but here are mine. Right click the text box (input box) and go to the properties. 1) One of the properties of the text box is input mask (I don't...

I've also found this: Credit goes to Duane Hookem on www.dbforums.com There are some tips at http://ourworld.compuserve.com/homepages/attac-cg/. Code sample from their site: Add the following Visual Basic code to the On Print event of the section of the report that contains the Graph object...

    Graphs in Reports

I've had the same problem with Graphs in MsAccess 97. It seems to be something to do with the PC being to fast!! :) I found that putting 'me.requery' in the 'onformat' event fixed it in most cases All I can say is, try this first as it's a quick and easy thing to do. Brett
