    A simple calendar problem... please

I have successfully used the calendar system in an Access XP database design and am (so far) pleased with the results. Now my daft question... I used an ActiveX control to call this up - and registered it. If I pass the database that includes this ActiveX calendar to another user - one that...

Rich I'm sorry, but your last comment has confused me. Chris

    I want a nested IIF !!

Hi Rich Have tried that - but it throws up syntax problems about incorrect quotes. Also noticed that - if it worked - this would give a slightly screwed up display if there was only one message of "There were 1 messages today". I shall also go on looking, and see if I can use this IsNumeric...

    I want a nested IIF !!

Yes, I know I can't do that (as far as I can see). But I want to do it on a report in A97. In a grouped report, I count the number of messages (in the detail section) each client has received that day. This value is put in the Group Header. The count is done simply on the message table field...

If IsNull problem in my form

See.... I said I was stoopid! Easy when you think about it. My excuse is that I've been working on this database since this morning and the brain cell is getting tired and suffering from alcohol withdrawal symptoms! Chris

If IsNull problem in my form

Hi jfg Tried your idea - it looked good. Certainly neater and tidier than mine! But the form didn't like it if the field didn't have focus. As the form has about 25 fields - and that ain't the prime field, I'm still stuck with my untidy idea at the moment. Unless, of course, anyone knows...

If IsNull problem in my form

Got it It may not be pretty, but I've got this to work after a few hours of hair tearing!... Dim mystring mystring = [BusinessEMail] txtBusinessEMailReveal = mystring If Len(mystring) > 0 Then txtBusinessEMailReveal = "Address not available" End If And then I shall just invert the logic of...

If IsNull problem in my form

Working A97. I am trying to use unbound boxes in a form to give conditional status messages about field entries. These statements (to date) are checked as part of the form's On Current property. I get good messages when the statement depends on a yes/no box or on detecting if a particular...

    update subform from combo selection

Hi BJ Have tried that - but it is less than efficient in that the subform only seems to update after I leave the combo. It would have been nice to do it as soon as a new item is selected in the combo (I tried using On Change - with no effect) Looks as though I may be stuck at that level...

    update subform from combo selection

I've been through the search and can't quite find a match for what I want. Working on A97. Two tables. The main table is tblCustomerDetails and a lesser table tblTariffs. I have created the forms for the two tables as frmCustomerDetails and frmSubTariffs. In the main form...

Post codes/ Zip codes input masks

Can't help on Zip Codes. However, the very best mask I have found (and use consistently) for UK Post Codes can be a tricky one to make work properly. It can be tamed as follows. LAaa 0LL. In other words, the first character is always a letter and is required, the second character can be a...

More help on Filter by Form - Please!

Shay helped me beautifully in my quest. Little did I know the path I was walking! Great, I can open a form as Filter by Form. So far, so good. I can also call up a filter criteria. However... (the dreaded word) 1. I made a command button to apply filter. It stays greyed out and unusable...

    Access runtime/viewer

Sorry... To have a runtime Access in XP, you have to buy the (expensive) Office Pro Developers' Kit. That will give you a freely distributable runtime engine that will run your database without Access loaded. :( Chris
