One combo box controls output of another

I'm building an Access 2003 database for flyfishing. In my form I have two combo boxes that are controlled by the tables "tblflytype" and "tblFlies". In here I have flies listed like this: FlyID Flytype 1 Dry Fly 2 Wet Fly 3 Nymph 4 Streamer...

    Sorting numbers in a report

I've searched the forums and couldn't come with any answers that help in my particular situation. I did find this Here . In the example of RuralGuy (Sort3.zip), I used the SortOrder: FixNum([Field1]) and changed the "Field1" to my needs, but keep getting an error. Anyway, I have a DB where I...

.ldb file converts to mdb file

Thanks pbaldy. The only thing that I find confusing is when I had my other machine the other day, this was not an issue. Only with this new one, but I'll do the compacts as they suggest in that article. Thanks again!

.ldb file converts to mdb file

Exactly. If I leave the db1.mdb in the folder and re-open the original db, when I exit that, I'll have db2.mdb, db3.mdb, etc., etc. I do have the db set to compact on close, so my question now is... is there any way to prevent this "failed" compact on close? Thanks!

Looking for help with Payroll DB

I think I'm all set with the "overtime" hours above 40. One thing that I would need help on has to do with the pay scale. For instance, for day 1-60 the employee is at $1.35 and then on day 61 he goes to $1.50. If day 61 falls in the middle of the week (let's say Wed.) then he should be paid...

Looking for help with Payroll DB

Thanks Dave, That already looks much better than what I had... Just wondering if it would be possible to make things a little more streamlined. All employees start at $1.35/hr. for the 1st 60 days. On day 61 they automatically go to $1.50 for 30 more days. On day 31 (or day 92, depending on how...

Looking for help with Payroll DB

I've started a fairly simple payroll database that is unique to my workplace. I need 3 different pay scales based on the number of days since "date started" and am stumped. If you look at the switchboard and choose "Payroll Report" and type in 1/15/05 you'll see the report as I would like it...
