    Grouping on a Multivalued Field

I have a report that is grouped by a few criteria, one of which is a multivalued field "manager". The report displays "purchase orders" grouped by "customer" and then again by "manager". some of the "purchase orders" have 2 "managers" and currently the grouping separates the 2 managers into 2...

    Subreport Totals on Main Report

you might be able to do it by creating 2 hidden controls to initially hold the value 0, and writing a similar IIF statement that would go something along these lines IIF(Report.HasData, control +=1,) so that it adds one for each valid value. then divide by the control in the main set of IIF...

Glad I was able to help and that you figured it out. I'm relatively new to access and felt bad only asking questions, so having an answer is cool

    Subreport Totals on Main Report

from what i can see you are missing the 0 portion of the argument. try this: (IIF([rptEmployEvaluationOperator subreport].[Report].[HasData], [rptEmployEvaluationOperator subreport].[Report]![OPTotal], 0) + IIF(Next report, field you want, 0))/2

    strage report/subreport behavior...

ok so i got the DSum working using the following: =DSum("CountOfEmployees_EmpFull","POSummaryRates","POID=" & [POID]) but the debug staetments are still showing that [POSummaryAvgRate].[Report]![numEMP], where numEMP is the DSum is always 1 so the font size is still not changing. the numEMP...

    strage report/subreport behavior...

since this Dsum is in a control in a subreport, how would i set the criteria for it to match the POID(purchase order number) from its source query with the main reports POID for grouping?

    strage report/subreport behavior...

i changed the contents of numEMP to =DSum("CountOfEmployees_EmpFull","POSummaryRates") which gives me a count of 9 which is correct for the total across all 3 purchase orders, 1+1+7. now the font size on all 3 pages is size 6. now i just need to have it group by purchase order number and ill...

    strage report/subreport behavior...

so after throwing in some debug.prints, its showing that [POSummaryAvgRate].[Report]![numEMP] is always 1 and fontsize is always 10 as i flip through the pages of the report. the last page of my report the numEMP should be 7

    strage report/subreport behavior...

I will insert a message box after i finish this reply. I can tell the font size has been staying at 10 because i can visually see it across multiple pages of the report. As for the value of numEMP, i have 2 extra text boxes on my report that contain "=[POSummaryAvgRate].[Report]![numEMP]" both...
