    Law and compliance

You would be pleased to know it is easier than it seems. There only two major law systems, despite various political constitutions, the Common Law and the Roman Law. All communists and socialist countries prefer the Roman Law system, also called the Civil Law system, which believes in telling...

    Law and compliance

There's also economics. One source of law is based on economical view point, and a good example is communism which does not believe in provide property. I am not very much well read in economics and software but I do know there has been criticism when real-world tangible benefit seems to have...

Solved Code not save when at runtime

yes, of course. I agree wit I am in completely agreement with you. Just feeling a little bruised sometimes seeing how Microsoft would have have many of us all that grief by working out its product and really improving things for us instead of spending their time trying to do things completely...

    Fictional Stories

There was a, in my opinion, a very good test for dishonesty in R v Ghosh, which states that a man is not dishonest if he does not think he was lying (subjective) and the relevant third parties would not think he was lying (objective). If I say the sun is square, I could be reprimanded as lying...

    Fictional Stories

A lot of marketing and advertisement fall into legally acceptable hyperbolic representation, but there are remedies if a mis-representation is so bad it causes harm to people or their property financially, reputationally and physically. So... are these representations fiction or fact? I do not...

    Law and compliance

..... IMHO... I think there should be a category for subjects and threads related to law, compliance and financial matters. Besides the issues of property ownership, there would often be matters of taxation, depreciation, and so on, which we should get advice from the professionals rightfully...

Solved Code not save when at runtime

... and sometimes you really do not want to save the work done because it is untested and you are still feeling you way around it, especially when the work includes dismantling some functional but inelegant old codes... you want them there should the system crash and so we just egg on without...

Solved Code not save when at runtime

I guess... but people should just keep in mind that if the law is over-protecting a business and undermines the market by not supplying the needs of the consumer, then that ought to be reviewed. . Every public utility started as a private enterprise, be it water or electricity, and when the...

Solved Code not save when at runtime

Yeah but sometimes you do not want to save it because you are still working it out, especially is you are replacing a huge chunk of codes with a different approach up on some new revelation of how to do it better. So you save your existing codes and test various possibilities in the new...

Solved Code not save when at runtime

...and it is random. Without changing any Access version and when working on the same form and codes, sometimes the code saves, and sometimes not. I know if there is an instance of the application running in the background, I cannot save the one I am working on. With no background application...

    Hi...

Sorry all for this belated greeting. I completely missed this Introduce Yourself topic, although I have been coming on and off a few months now. In fact, I only noted the dashboard main page properly now and am still unfamiliar with it. In fact, I only caught on that this is an active...

Solved Code not save when at runtime

Yes, you make a good point, thanks. But we all need to get into that deep think state where we basically forget what's around us to do our best work and that's really one of the pleasure doing coding.

Solved Code not save when at runtime

Dear all, I have finally come across a post by someone who seems to be experiencing the same problem that I have. Basically, I believe that Access crash and restart so smoothly that I had no idea that the relaunched instance is locked down by the 'Admin' and after many more hours of work, I may...

Solved Code not save when at runtime

Okie, more observations. Access in Win 11 restores an copy of itself when it crashed. I do not know how is that possible, but the codes I save on this version is not protested unlike the case when another computer has locked down access. So I would think I am making changes and saving regularly...
