Subreports not printing, but show up fine in Report View

That sounds like a possibility, but I'm a bit confused on how to set it up - I know how to do SQL queries, but (assuming I'm supposed to be editing the query that supplies the data to the subreport) how do I reference the main report's items in the subreport's query?

Subreports not printing, but show up fine in Report View

Interesting.... I just set the subreport to just display the contents of the source table instead of an SQL query, and removed the field links between it and the main report (so all entries in the table show up in each main report entry's report 'page'), and it shows up fine, both in Report...

Interesting thought... I'll try that and let you know what happens. -Eric

Subreports not printing, but show up fine in Report View

Are you using Access 2003 or earlier? In Access 2007, there is a seperate view available for reports that is not apparently available in earlier versions - the Report View, which shows the report and its data on the screen in a continuous format - not broken up into pages. If I switch to the...

Subreports not printing, but show up fine in Report View

Thanks for the suggestion, but in my case the subreports are already bound to seperate tables and queried for results. The one thing that is bugging me is that in your case, like many others I've seen mentioned elsewhere on the net, the print preview is working fine, but printing is not. In my...

Subreports not printing, but show up fine in Report View

I forgot to mention - I tried removing all but one of the subreports and it still doesn't work. I also made a version of the DB with local tables instead of linked tables, and that didn't work either. -Eric

I'm glad to hear that your problem is solved, Alisa. Does anyone have any insight on the issues I'm experiencing? -Eric

Subreports not printing, but show up fine in Report View

Unfortunately no solution yet. One thing you may try in your case is to remove that last subreport that seems to have caused the issue, and replace it with a copy of one of your other subreports - that should at least tell you if the issue is the number of subreports or the settings of those...

Subreports not printing, but show up fine in Report View

In my report, each item form the main report takes up about a page and a half, with three of the subreports on the first page, but judging by the labels I have above each subreport, they're not spanning pages - each one takes up a small amount of space on the page its on, but isn't trying to...

Subreports not printing, but show up fine in Report View

Thanks for your advice, Big Pat. For all the subreports, Visible is set to Yes, Display is set to Always. I don't see any controls on the main report that might be interfering, and there are 4 subreports, so I'd think that at least one of them would be free from interference if it was just a...

Subreports not printing, but show up fine in Report View

I am having problems with a report that I have created in Access 2007. The report uses several tables linked with an SQL server as a data source, and contains several subreports. When I view the report in Report View, all of the data in the subreports shows up fine, but when I view it in Print...
