    A CanGrow question

Hi All. I've built a reportcard report. On this report are five text controls: the subject area, and the grades for the four quarters for that subject area. Because of the length of some of the subject areas, I want to make the subject area control CanGrow. However, when the control grows in...

    Subform Navigation

Yes, I can wait a day. Thank you for your assistance. :) I'm just confused as to why access reacts this way. It's as though when you click on a different record, or use the page up/down keys that it doesn't update the bookmark of the form's recordset. Also, I don't understand why it navagates...

    Referencing Forms

Nope. It's a bug that happens in XP, but never happened for me in 2000... Although it's also happened when using the database with the access 2000 runtimes. On the form are three controls. (shown below) The Dropdown on the left has the rowsource shown below: When the dropdown on the left...

    Referencing Forms

:) I know you must have a form open in order to reference the controls. This error happens when I am closing a form. On this form is both the control that is being referenced and the control that is referencing it.

    Referencing Forms

Sure. I get this error when closing the form "frmMnt_Student" chkLimitStudentList is a checkbox on that form. And a dropdown box that refrences that checkbox in it's rowsource property had the focus while the form was being closed. -Jim

Can't get rid of "read only-ness"

Open your "unlocked" form, and open the rowsource editor. Then change the view to Datasheet. Are you able to modify the data there? If your rowsource isn't editable, there then it won't be on the form either.
