Good morning,
Most of my cards are 3.5" by 5.5". Of the 100,000 that I have scanned thus far, all were scanned in with the 3.5" side going in first. Yes I do have a very expensive scanner. But is is designed in such a way that there is a wheel that turns (to help advance the cards through the...
Well I tried a small stack of cards and it worked okay, it slows down the scanning process as the cards do not touch the "feeder wheel" that helps feed the cards through. Tomorrow night I will scan in a whole box both ways and time it to see how much more time it takes..
If I start getting too...
Good evening!
Looks great! Had to bring my mom into the office to show her this version and it blew her mind.
With the rotating of the cards is there any way where an entire directory can be flipped with one click similar to the one click to switch the images (please??).
Heading to bed...
Yes I have that installed on my computer.
Sorry about not asking for it, it was something that had not occurred to me until I saw the last version.
Thanks :)

Good evening Chris,
Version 9 looks great. I have a couple of questions though... what is the difference between Flip images in directory and Flip images in inventory?
is there also a way to rotate the pictures, i.e. a button to click to turn the images 90 degrees and two clicks to turn 180...
There may be batches where the cards are scanned in backwards, resulting in odd # being back and even # being back side of card

Simon,
I am going to sit this weekend and plug what you have done so far into my existing access file and see how it works with everything.
Happy Weekend! (finally)

2. Yes I think that 4 digits will be enough. Most things that I have scanned so far have been in groups of 700-800-ish.
3. As far as the images, I would have to play...
Chris,
With the scanning software that I am currently using Scan All 21, I have the following options:
- I can select a prefix for all cards
- I can select and suffix
- I can use a counter
I was using a prefix (different text) and the counter.
So yes, the answer to your above question is...
Chris -
This project is for the cards that have yet to be scanned. So they can be named anything that I want at this point. They can be named/organized however will help this program work most efficiently. Although we have scanned in 100,000 cards so far, those are inventory items that we...
I do have several different fields that I will be associating to each image. The images are only a small part of the form that I will be using. I already have the access tables set up to record various card grading characteristics, location, category, published year, publisher, post mark...
