I grew up in El Paso, TX, USA. I received a BS in Ecology and Evolution from the University of Texas at El Paso. I then moved to Colorado, USA and received an MPH in Biostatistics from CU Denver. I have since settled down in Houston, TX.

I love nature, so on my spare time I enjoy Bird Watching and volunteering at the Houston Zoo. I present educational programs at the Zoo or at local schools. I frequently visit state, national, and international wildlife parks.
