hmm, i hope its that since ive used that alot. the sentance in which it features is "effective use of validation and of automatic counter". so i guess it could be autonumber, as that is a way of validating unique identifiers.

to be honest im not sure about it at all. it figures in my syllabus, but other than that im clueless. thanks for your answer on the first question, it worked like a dream :D
