    Solved Zero Results from Requery

Thanks Pat. I know SQL pretty well, and Access I just haven't used it in years. Got a bit rusty. I moved the field into the header, and it did work...but I found Bob's DCount suggestion a bit more elegant. Thanks very much.

    Solved Zero Results from Requery

Hi. Hope I can get some help for a little problem I've run into. I have a simple form based on a SELECT query. The form is set to Split View. I have a text box that I use to restrict the results to what I'm looking for from the form's record source. eg. If I put 'C*' in the text box, I see all...

Value from Column based on Value in Field!

I came up with the solution of adding a very complicated IIF statement in to the SQL. But, your solution sounds more elegant. I would like to restructure the data in the table, but the table data isn't mine. I just had to come up with a front end. Your suggestion of a query written in VBA seems...

Value from Column based on Value in Field!

Thanks Bill for the quick reply. Wouldn't that just set Col5 to what is in Col4, rather than the value in the Column that is referenced by Col4? Thanks

Value from Column based on Value in Field!

    Is Access SQL able to do this: I want the value from a particular column, whose name is derived from the value in the field of another column? Eg. Col1 Col2 Col3 Col4 Col5 1 ABC 234 Col2 ABC 2 BCD 345 Col3 345 3 CDE 456 Col2 CDE 4 DEF 567 Col2 DEF 5 EFG 678 Col3 678 6 FGH 789 Col2 FGH As...

How to remove a row if one field is duplicated?

    Is there a way to remove a whole row of data if one of the fields is duplicated? eg. The query returns this: Col1 Col2 Col3 Col4 A C D E B G F Z C H K V D H Z S I want to not show the last row of data because...

Yes/No Column in ListBox as changed!

Not only is this affecting listboxes, but also checkboxes! If the query shows yes/no or even 0/-1, any checkboxes are displaying nothing. ie. That grey coloring you get when there is no control.

Yes/No Column in ListBox as changed!

I did find out something late yesterday. The user where this problem doesn't appear is using Access 2003 with SP2. The rest of us are using SP3! The attachment should show you what's going on.

Yes/No Column in ListBox as changed!

Thanks for that...? I've done EVERYTHING I can think of to fix this. I've copied the table and the query to a new database and then created a new form that contains nothing but a listbox. Guess, what? It shows -1/0! Keep in mind that this is now happening in backup versions that never had this...

Yes/No Column in ListBox as changed!

Overnight, a column in a listbox has changed from showing Yes/No to -1/0! No one touched any formating and the query that populates the listbox still shows yes/no when opened. Another strange thing is that when I open a backup version from last month, it too now shows -1/0! We are...
